Romance of an Egyptian Dawn

By

Not long ago, I was asked by a good friend of mine what the most enchanting thing to do on holiday break in Sharm el Sheikh. He was preparing to pop the question to his girlfriend on a future vacation and of course planned to pick the best setting.

I had to give this a bit of thought carefully consider as even though I head to Egypt frequently, is virtually always to go scuba diving or relax on the beach which even though it is a fantastic way to spend a getaway, it wasn’t really what he was looking for.

I attempted to visualize the nicest spots to wine and dine with the best views but nothing really sprung to mind as amazing. I began to think about the many different experiences that were on offer to tourists. There are a number of trip options on the market including trips by airplane to Cairo, Luxor and the Lost City of Petra in Jordan. Additionally you canYou may also take a visit from Sharm el Sheikh to Jerusalem.

However, these trips are several hours long and can certainly be exhausting so I started pondering over activities a little bit closer to Sharm. There are a great many practical choices for a romantic setting such as a Bedouin dinner under the stars but the longer I thought about it, there was only one real choice. The trip to Mount Sinai and St Catherine’s Monastery leaves Sharm just before sunrise. After a few of hours, you arrive at Mount Sinai in the midst of the desert and start to ascend the mountain. From your view point, you stand in expectation of the Sinai sunrise.

The desert in this part of Egypt is stunning with a blend of sand and striking mountains. As the sun comes up and begins to climb in the skies, you begin to experience its welcoming rays and the shadows retreat all across the conforms of the adjoining mountain tops. It really is a magical and romantic occasion. The trip to Mount Sinai is one of the daily tours from Sharm and is well worth getting up early for.
